"Reproductive hormones give us measurable insights into what is happening in the body. By tracking LH to identify ovulation and hCG to confirm early pregnancy, we can replace uncertainty with information—and help patients make more confident, informed decisions."
About Maria Natalia Rougier
Maria Natalia Rougier is an OB-GYN specializing in Reproductive Medicine, with more than a decade of experience in fertility and women's health. She earned her medical degree and completed her OB-GYN training in Argentina, then went on to a Master's in Human Reproductive Medicine in Barcelona (Spain) and several years as a staff physician at a fertility clinic in her country, where she served as fellowship coordinator and assistant director.
Natalia's work spans multiple areas, from fertility evaluation and preconception care to assisted reproduction, with published research in Fertility and Sterility and won an award to improve fertility lab techniques. This is a field where scientific complexity meets deeply personal decisions, making both clinical expertise and compassionate, patient-centered care essential.
A large part of her work has always been teaching, first with medical residents and today in a Medical Assistant program in Florida. That focus on making medicine understandable carries into her work at Pregmate, where Natalia writes and reviews content on fertility, ovulation, hormone testing, and reproductive health, keeping it accurate and grounded in the science of how hormones work.
